These terms are between you, the customer, and Lewis Jack Turnley, trading as Right Turn Removals, of 52 Newhaven Street, Brighton, East Sussex, BN2 9NR. They apply to house clearances, removals and related work we agree to provide. We will give you these terms before you are bound by a booking. Your written quote and booking confirmation form part of the contract.
We usually price a job from the photos, postcode and details you send us. A quote is based on that information being accurate and complete. Your written quote will state the work included, the total price in pounds sterling, whether VAT is included or not applicable, any deposit, payment method, and how long the quote is valid.
If the job is materially different on the day, for example there are extra items, restricted access not disclosed, or a longer carry distance, we will explain the change and agree any revised price before carrying out additional work. We will not add undisclosed charges.
We may ask for a deposit to reserve a date. Any deposit amount, payment method and date when the balance is due will be set out clearly in the written quote or booking confirmation before you book.
If an invoice is not paid by its due date, we may recover reasonable interest and costs permitted by law. This does not affect any rights you have to dispute an invoice in good faith.
Plans change. Tell us as soon as you can if you need to change or cancel. Any cancellation charge or retained deposit must be stated before you book and must be fair and proportionate to the costs or losses caused by the cancellation. It will not remove your statutory cancellation rights.
For a service booked online, by phone, by email, or away from our premises, you normally have a 14-day cancellation period from the day the contract is made. To cancel, tell us by phone, email, WhatsApp or a clear written statement. You can use the model cancellation form below, but you do not have to.
If you ask us to start work during the 14-day period, we will ask for your clear written request before we do so. If you then cancel after work has started, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work already carried out. You lose the right to cancel only after the service has been fully performed and only where you gave the required prior consent and acknowledgement.
If we need to cancel, we will return payments made for work we have not provided, unless you agree to a suitable alternative booking.
Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel the contract.

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot transport or dispose of hazardous or flammable materials, gas bottles, chemicals, asbestos, clinical or medical waste, illegal items, live animals, or any item we have not agreed to handle. Ask us before the day if you are unsure about an item.
For a clearance, you confirm that you own the items or have authority to arrange their removal. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, items cleared may be disposed of, recycled, donated or resold. Check carefully that no money, jewellery, documents, keys, medication or other items you wish to keep are left for clearance. Waste is handled under our waste carrier licence CBDU621046.
We take real care with your belongings and aim to do every job cleanly and on time. Sensibly, though, there are limits:
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including that our service is carried out with reasonable care and skill, always apply.
We will provide details of applicable insurance on request. Insurance arrangements do not reduce your statutory rights or our legal responsibilities.
Severe weather, traffic, road closures, breakdowns and access problems can sometimes affect a booking. If that happens, we will tell you as soon as reasonably possible and discuss a new time. This does not affect your statutory rights.
If you are unhappy with any part of the job, contact us as soon as possible on 01273 981001 or lewis@rightturnremovals.co.uk. We will try to resolve the matter quickly and fairly.
We handle your details in line with our Privacy & Cookies notice.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes can be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
